
This is one of the two alphabets that J.R.R. Tolkein invented. (The other is his runes-they aren't the same alphabet as the traditional Viking or Anglo-Saxon alphabets.)
These were knitted sideways; the general theory is that it's supposed to look like the cursive form.
It needs some editing: the accents on top, in particular, look terrible, and since it's supposed to be cursive, the circles and semicircles should probably be ovals and semi-ovals.
