Lately I've mostly been knitting utterly boring things: plain socks, some plain handwarmers, and a plain sleeve for a sweater in green Malabrigo, a yarn so variegated I cannot do any cabling. Maybe I'll put a lace leaf somewhere or something. While this is fun knitting I can do while reading, it's not something I feel excited enough about to actually do blog posts about.

I have done a little bit of design work recently:

How do you manage to knit while reading? My book pages always flap around.

I read medium to large hardcovers, not paperbacks. Library books are good, as their spines are often cracked and therefore willing to stay open. Paperweights also are moderately useful to completely essential, depending on the book.

Alternatively, I read ebooks from Project Gutenberg.

Hey I read while knitting too! I use a paper weight! :)

I really like your treble clef!
May I study it a bit and use the pattern on my music book bag?

Your castles are fantastic! The castles would make a great sweater, with a dragon on it too!

If you can figure it out for yourself, go for it; it's going to be a little while before I get the pattern written out.

hey, I don't mean to sound like I'm pressing, but have you gotten around to writing out that pattern yet? it's amazing, and I'd love to use it.
